Levi Weber: Past Jr. Show Ambassador
Levi Weber, 2013-2014 Spokane Junior Livestock Show Ambassador, grew up in Colton, WA. He showed hogs at the Jr. Show several years in a row and credits skills he uses today to his experience in the livestock realm.
“My experience at the Jr. Show taught me a lot about hard work, working with others, business, and budgeting. But most of all it taught me so much about caring,” Levi said. “Caring with respect for the animals I raised, because they need to be taken care of whether it's a holiday, the weekend, rain or shine they need you to care”
Following high school, Levi attended Washington State University, where he graduated with a double major in Turfgrass Management and Fruit and Vegetable Management.
Today, he resides in Vancouver, BC, and is the Head Groundskeeper for the Vancouver Canadians, the high-A affiliate for the Toronto Bluejays.
When asked if he had any advice for young people exhibiting at the Jr. Show, he said, “My advice is a simple life lesson I learned early on. You're going to get what you put into the experience. If you put in the work and do the little things, good things will happen for you. It may take some time to see the results, but just keep up the good work.”
