Ellie Berger - 2024 Showman Highlight

SHOWMAN HIGHLIGHT ::: Meet Ellie Berger! 👋

“I've been showing sheep at Junior Livestock Show since I was 8, and finally old enough to show like my older sister.”

A North Idaho native her whole life, Ellie Berger attends Coeur d'Alene High School and looks forward to graduating in June.

“My favorite thing about the Jr. Show is how kind and helpful everyone is and how they are always willing to help or show you something new,” she said. “You get to show with kids from all over our area and learn from them. The vibes are so good and so is the show. Because it's been the one show besides my county fair that I have competed in since I was 8, it really just feels good being there. Even the smell of the shavings as we first walk in always brings back memories.”

Ellie will be showing two market lambs, a prospect lamb, a breeding doe, and her prospect goat.

When asked who she looks up to the most, she was quick to highlight her big sister!

“The person I look up to most is my big sister Lexi. We have done everything together since as far back as I can remember. She’s always there for me and I’ve watched her show every animal since before I was old enough to show myself and wanted to be just like her.”
